My Upcoming Schedule
- I’ll be gone July 29-August 8 for a cycling trip to Lake Tahoe.
- I’m having foot surgery Sept 3. I’m not sure how long I’ll be on pain meds but I hope to be working with my foot elevated within a week.
Moon Rock Massage ROCKS!
OK so I’m not a copy-writer! We knew that. When I needed a new massage therapist I turned to my favorite networking group Biznik and looked for someone in my neighborhood. I connected well with Sarah Moon and after a few sessions we were talking about their website needing a makeover. It wasn’t hard to become inspired to create their new logo, business cards and website. Check them out at www.moonrockmassage.com. And if you’re in the area give them a try. You’ll be glad you did.
Anti-Spam Research Results
You’ll recall last issue I was on a quest to find the best anti-spam solution. These are the ones I investigated:
- CA Anti Spam Plus $29/year I used this before they changed the name (from Qurb) and liked it a lot. At the time it was a one-time fee and I didn’t like that they changed to an annual subscription. But now they’re all by annual subscription.
- CloudMark: Used by Comcast, 15 day free trial, $40/year for up to 2 computers.
- SPAMFighter: 1 mo pro free then either $29/year or you can continue to use standard version for free (ad in signature block)
- Spam Arrest: I’m not sure I’m going to try this one as I don’t really like this approach. I’ve included it in case you’d like to try it. Let me know what you think.
Cloudmark is a big NO…it often missed spam. CA wouldn’t install unless I uninstalled Norton because they want you to buy their security solution too. No go there. I bought SPAMFighter at 50% off for three years and have been VERY pleased with it. Once installed you can pretty much forget about it. I check it daily just in case there’s something there that shouldn’t be. But so far (it’s been a month) it’s NEVER missed any spam or had any false-positives. I’m very impressed and it’s such a relief not to see all the spam in my in-box anymore!
