Enjoying the summer
As you likely know Seattle has had record-breaking heat this summer setting a new record for most number of 90-degree days in a year! I hope you’re keeping cool and enjoying yourself. My husband and I sure are. Last weekend we rode our tandem bicycle from Discovery Bay to Port Angeles and back (82 miles) and then on Sunday we rode up Hurricane Ridge. That was 18 miles up 5000′ of elevation. We’re training for an 8-day tour from Glacier to Banff and Jasper in Alberta.
New site launched
Bill Aal’s Tools for Change has been providing consulting, facilitation, mediation and training services for over 25 years. We connected when he became the facilitator/trainer for our cohousing community. This project was unique as Bill is quite comfortable in the tech world and will be handling much more of his site than my typical clients feeling comfortable doing.
I’ve never been directly involved in a crowd-funding campaign until now. The cohousing community I’ve been involved with for 5+ years is in the process of creating an urban rooftop farm and needs additional funding to hire the farm designers. If this interests you at all you can check out the 90 second video and consider making a contribution and/or sharing this with others you know that might be interested. What I’ve learned in this process is a lot about social-media marketing and how much repetition is necessary to reach a funding goal. If we don’t make the goal we lose ALL the donations. Oh, and I designed the logo!
