New site launched
I just launched a new site for the Yesler Community Collaborative. Just as the organization’s name implies, it was a collaborative process and a great pleasure to work on this project. They already had their branding in place but I design their business cards as well as the new website. It’s my first site using Elegant Themes Divi theme which is a framework/page-builder. As you can see in this image, it’s responsive to all display sizes.
Every year the WordPress community hosts all-day conferences around the country and the world. This is the third year I’ve been on the organizing team for the Seattle event. In the past it has attracted 750 attendees. So this year they decided to split it up into two smaller conferences. The first is happening this Saturday at Seattle Pacific University. It’s only $20 including lunch. To learn more and get on the mailing list for the October WordCamp visit the Seattle WordCamp website. It’s a great opportunity to network and have fun.

“In professional interactions, it turns out that most people operate as either takers, matchers, or givers. Whereas takers strive to get as much as possible from others and matchers aim to trade evenly, givers are the rare breed of people who contribute to others without expecting anything in return.”
